An Ohio native, Dr. Garren graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Notre Dame and received his Doctor of Medicine degree from The Ohio State University School of Medicine. His residency training includes a General Surgery Residency at Mount Carmel Medical Center and Otolaryngology, Head and Neck surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.

In addition, Dr. Garren is a Doctoral Research Fellow at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
